This has happen to me and i almost killed my psu. I thought it was the psu on the old old computer i've had, turned out it was not it was the power button it would turn on for about 3s and then shutdown make sure the power button cable is correctly put it.

Ok, well whats strange is that when power is connected to my motherboard, I have a green led light that comes on. The fans turn on for three seconds and then it shuts off, but that light is still on as long as the motherboards plugged in.

I think it might be my motherboard is fried or my psu is. Which dosent seem likley considering its corsair. The thing is, when I turn on just my psu the fan turns on, and when i connect the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors to my motherboard the fans spin for about 3 seconds. Im not trying to fix, just trying to find out whats wrong so i can rma. The thing is my power supply only switches on sometimes.

Well before this was happening, my idle cpu temps were 28c and load was 65c. That dosen't seem to high to me. GPU temps were 35c and 55c load if that matters.
