Hello, I'm about to boot up my computer and I have no idea how to overclock the RAM.
Right now I have the
Rip Jaws 4GB 1600 DDR3 Memory(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277&Tpk=F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL)
and the
GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128445&Tpk=GIGABYTE%20GA-880GMA-UD2H%20AM3%20AMD%20880G%20SATA)
I need to overclock the motherboard RAM settings so that it can be compatible with DDR31600. What would I need to change and does anyone have specific steps (Do I need to mess with the voltages)

I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not tht good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show it to my friend and he enjoyed it as well! Thanks so much for this!testking 350-029== testking 642-647== testking 642-982== testking 650-177== testking 646-046== testking 642-661== testking 642-873== testking 640-461== I have not been this thrilled by a blog post for quite some time! You’ve got it, whatever that means in blogging. Anyway, You’re definitely someone that has something to say that people should hear. Keep up the wonderful job. Keep on inspiring the people!

So what exactly is the problem? Your memory is already at DDR3 1600 Mhz and if you want it at 1600Mhz that is fine.
If you, however, want to increase the RAM speed (say 1800) then overclock in the BIOS to 1800Mhz. If the system starts to act a little weird increase the voltage only .1 and restart. Keep increasing until the system is stable. There may be times where it won't be necessary to increase the voltages that's why you increase the Mhz first then the voltage. If your system is heating up more than normal it may be best to lower your voltages/base clock.
Call Gigabyte's customer support if you have further questions on overclocking the RAM for your motherboard ;)
