Which headset do you reccomend using for a gamers perspective and in which way would a headset be more usefull in your opinion do to the fact that it may be 5.1 or 7.1?

whatever you do, don't get a Razer Carcharias. I went through 2 of them in a VERY short time. First one, the mic died, second one, the right ear cup died. Right now I'm using my Creative Fata1ity USB headset, which also has issues with the sound giving out at times.... maybe I just have bad luck?
