I have been searching for a good review on the Asus ROG Matrix 5870 2gb gpu. I have in fact seen plenty of videos of the unboxing of this card, and also read a few reviews on it. But in the long run I stick with a name that I trust and everyone of your reviews are in depth and packed with all the right kinds of info that I look for in a product review. I know that this card is a bit pricey, but I was wondering if you were going to or had plans to review this card? If you are that would be wonderful. If not, any info or comments on this card would be great. As I said before all of your reviews are spot on, point in fact my cpu cooler " Cooler Master v10" and my case "Cooler Master Sniper" were bought by me only after seeing your reviews on the both of them. Again thanks.

Thank you Maccan for the great info. I instead went with 2 Sapphire Hd 5850 in crossfire on a Crosshair iv mobo. I am not a huge tweaker I just want constant FPS when I am gaming. My set up now is just fine for any and all games that I play currently. But again thanks for the great info.

I'd be more than happy to

I'd be more than happy to tell you about it seeing as I own two of them.

Key points - bit more noisy on idle than reference cooler, but it's bigger and pushes out more air which means than when playing games - it's gonna be more silent.

It's a great overclocker - I managed to get a 997 core clock on this without bumping the voltage. THat's a 15% OC over the reference 5870 chip.

If your just gonna be gaming. Your probably off buying something else, and also as a previous poster said. The 6xxx series should be out in November ish.

Temps are fine. Nothing over the top, but it's okay.

It draws more power than reference, mainly due to the stock OC as well.

iTracker 2 comes with it. Great overclocking tool, but something like MSI afterburner would do the trick.

For the gamer - it's not worth it. If you would like to tweak and have fun benching. It's a hell of a card, but it's kind of hard to justify the price.

Would you like to know anything else?

And just as a reminder the

And just as a reminder the ati 6000 series will be launched later on this year, so if your not in a rush you could always wait for thoose ;)

Thanks for the videos, they

Thanks for the videos, they were semi informative. I have a hard time understanding British people, but other than that thanks for the post. Still not sure on buying this card, I think its the 500+ usd that holding me back. But if I get it, I will post benchmarks and all right here for anyone else to read and see.

I know it's the Platinum

I know it's the Platinum edition but anyways, havn't watched them myself yet sinse i'm at the office atm and don't have any speakers nor headset here at the time =/, anyways hope these helps!
