in #138 - Q&A: Do you help select computer parts for build?

you said you don't have time to answer everybody.
but maybe you can make a monthly video about what parts to get for a pc

just do 3 price ranges: budget, mid range, high end.
and with each price range you can just say what you would buy.
you don't have to be to detailed, you can just say "a quality power supply with < 500 watt" or something.
and then just say what parts (cpu, mb, ram, gpu, hdd) you would recommend for a specific price range.

this way you can help a lot op people without having to write them a personal message all the time.

I know a pc magazine that does this an i always enjoy reading it.

#138 - Q&A: Do you help select computer parts for build?

Well you probably wouldn't

Well you probably wouldn't really have to come out with a new "how to" video. It'd probably just be better to have something like a "Rodney's top choices" video. You know, just something to keep people up to date.

AMD Phenom II X4 940 @3.7Ghz | Cooler Master V6 GT | Foxconn A7DA-S 790GX | 4GB OCZ DDR2 @800mhz | 2x Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6850s in CrossfireX | 2x 500GB WD Caviar Black in RAID 0 (1TB) | 320GB Hitachi Deskstar | LG Bluray Drive | HP DVD Writer | Ultra LSP 650 | NZXT Tempest Evo | Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

The "How to Build a KICKASS

The "How to Build a KICKASS Rig" series takes a massive amount of work to pull of. That's why there hasn't been a new one as of late.

Well yeah.

Well yeah.

kinda like the "How to Build

kinda like the "How to Build a KICKASS Rig" series that's seriously outdated.

Even then though, you could

Even then though, you could just do a video about just that single product that comes out. The only time you really need to do a build video is when the old build video becomes outdated.

like when something like the

like when something like the 980x or the Radeon HD 5970 4GB come out then do a video because those really is big news.

Yeah, like Vortex said, not

Yeah, like Vortex said, not much is changing in a month. Maybe a new Ram set is released, or a slightly higher clocking GPU, but really it should be a quarterly thing. Once every 4 months.

Maybe every 2-6 months, lol.

Maybe every 2-6 months, lol. Not that much is going to change in a single month.

Excellent suggestion and I've

Excellent suggestion and I've done this before on 3GM, I just need the time to do it again :(
