I'm a Headphone freak
I've tried a few headphone:
+CyberSnipa Sonar 5.1/7.1 (driver update)
+Triton Ax Pro 5.1 (Console/PC)
+Razer Carcharias (stereo)
+Razer Megalonden (7.1 USB)
+Razer Barrcuda (5.1 3.5mm)
+G35 Logitech (7.1 USB)
+sennheiser PC350 (stereo)
+sennheiser HD-somthing (ha, I'm too lazy to look. Its Stereo)
+Can't remember the rest...
+Oh the Astro MLG Headphone (Major League Gaming)
-USB Headphone for me tend to FAIL in quality for me.
They can be cheap, and simple to use but personally I look
for quality regardless of $. USB headphone use it OWN built in driver, so if you bought a sound card, it will NOT use it. Also in some game, the surround sound tend to fail or akward sound coming out.
-I love 5.1 with 3.5mm jack. 5.1 personally sound great and work in most game without any driver to conflict with any game. Also plugging into your sound card makes it extra sweet.
If your looking for BEST 5.1 surround sound headphone for
gaming regardless of $:
"TRITON AX PRO" - There's a cheaper one just for PC for about $70 or less. It's use 3.5mm jack so you can plug it into your MOBO or Sound Card.
Best 5.1 for your $:
"Cyber Snipa Sonar" - USB with 5.1 or 7.1 with the newer driver.
Best USB Headphone:
"G35 Logitech" - Although its a 7.1 headset, you can change the setting to 5.1. It has a voice morpher and great Doby Digital driver.
This is just my opinion base on the headphone I own.
www.Razerzone.com also has a
www.Razerzone.com also has a couple new ones.
