There are products like the IOGear USB Video Card where you can clone or extend your screen, but not sure how good they are because I have never tested them. Here, more: http://www.diamondmm.com/USB-Video-Cards.php

No way to upgrade the onboard video GPU though, unless you replace the notebook board, but it would be better to replace your notebook.
